Pad printing transfers ink to irregularly shaped items by use of a silicone pad. The image is transferred first to the pad and then to the part. The process applies substantially less ink than silk screening.
Pad printing is used for applications on rounded or raised surfaces that are hard to reach and cannot be silk screened. Multiple colors are easily achieved.
